Copy-instrument delays at Tailte Éireann

Tailte Éireann has advised solicitors that it is currently experiencing some delays in processing requests for copy instruments.

Copy instruments are property-related documents that are filed in the Land Registry.

In a notice on its website, the body said that this was due to the introduction of a new scanning system for its registration archives, which is part of an upgrade aimed at improving longer-term efficiency and service delivery.

‘Faster service’

“While this new process is being implemented, and due to a period of high demand for our services, some regrettable delays have occurred in issuing copy instruments,” it stated.

Tailte Éireann added that it was working to process all requests as quickly as possible.

It said that, once fully implemented, the new system would result in a faster and more efficient service for all customers.
