Intellectual Property Office trade mark exams
The Intellectual Property Office of Ireland is running law and practice exams in both patents and trade marks in April this year.
They are both online closed-book exams and are scheduled as follows:
- Law and Practice of Trade Marks examination will be held on 28 April 2026 at 10 am. More information is available online,
- Law and Practice of Patents examination will be held on 30 April at 10 am. The application form is also online.
Fee
The fee for sitting either exam is €200.
The deadline for the receipt of application forms and fees for both exams is 8 April.
