The international society of Public Law (ICON) is the world’s largest and leading learned society for all areas of public law including administrative law, constitutional law and international law.
This conference is set to be the largest public law conference ever held in Ireland and will focus on the most pressing issues in these areas of law.
Hosted by UCD Sutherland School of Law, and jointly organised by the UCD Centre for Constitutional Studies, the conference is sponsored by Mason Hayes & Curran. LLP.
There are places available for locally based, legal professionals to attend the conference and obtain up to 15 CPD points.
Attendees will join 2,500+ delegates from around the world.
A fractured world
The conference theme is ‘Reimagining Public Law for a Fractured World: Technology, Identity & Truth’.
AI and digital technology will be a very large part of the programme with almost thirty different sessions on that subject.
Climate and environmental sustainability will also feature heavily as will economic security and regulatory politics, EU law and human rights law.
Chief Justice Donal O'Donnell will address the opening ceremony.
The keynote will be given by renowned Stanford human-rights academic Professor E Tendayi Achiume.
