Courts Service webinar on online probate
The Courts Service is to hold a webinar for solicitors later this month on its new online probate system.
Since 2 June, solicitors across the country have been able to apply for probate online on the Courts Portal at portal.courts.ie.
The roll-out followed a pilot project that involved a small number of solicitors in Dublin.
Q&A session
The courts body’s CPD webinar on the system will take place on Friday 19 June (9.15-10am) and registration is now open.
The speakers from the Courts Service will be:
- Owen Harrison (chief information officer),
- Mark Dunne (head of digital),
- Jim Dalton (digital team), and
- Anne Heenan (probate officer).
They will take solicitors through everything they need to know about filing applications for grants of probate on Courts Portal. There will be a question-and-answer session at the end of the presentations.
