Shane Hogan is Matheson managing partner
Partners at Matheson LLP have elected Shane Hogan as managing partner to succeed Darren Maher, who is resigning after 23 years with the firm.
Hogan, who joined the firm as a trainee solicitor in 2000, is currently a partner and head of tax at Matheson.
The firm describes Hogan, who represents international businesses and financial institutions operating in and from Ireland, as “internationally recognised as a leading tax practitioner advising on the most complex tax mandates in the Irish market”.
‘Trusted relationships’
Chair Paddy Spicer said that the new managing partner would provide experienced leadership, energy, and strategic vision.
“Throughout his career Shane has built trusted relationships across the firm and with clients, while helping to drive growth and innovation,” he said.
Hogan said that it was a “particular privilege” to be appointed to the role, having started at the firm as a trainee.
“I am excited about the opportunities ahead and I look forward to working with our partners and teams to ensure we continue to set the standard for excellence in our profession and to create lasting value for our clients," he added.
