EU event on competition and data protection

The European Data Protection Board (EDPB) and European Commission are inviting legal practitioners, along with other interested parties, to take part in an event in October on the interplay between competition and data protection.

The two bodies are jointly working on upcoming guidelines on the topic, and they say that the event will give stakeholders the opportunity to “inform and support” the ongoing work.

The remote event takes place on Thursday 15 October, with the exact time to be confirmed.

The two bodies say that registration will generally be handled on a first-come, first-served basis.

The deadline for registration is 28 August, or as soon as maximum capacity has been reached.
