Philip Lee promotes five as growth continues

Commercial-law firm Philip Lee LLP has appointed four new partners and one ‘of counsel’.

The four new partners are:

  • Elaine Whelan (real estate),
  • Michael Cahill (projects and construction),
  • Tamara Mitchell (media), and
  • Keelin Gavagan (corporate).

Philip Lee has also appointed Kate McNamara as ‘of counsel’ in its real-estate practice, citing her “deep expertise” in the sector.

‘Growing demand’

The appointments come after the firm announced a merger with Cork-based BHK Solicitors LLP earlier this month, bringing its partner numbers above 50.

Managing partner Jonathan Kelly described reaching the milestone of 50 partners as “a significant moment” for the firm.

“As we continue to expand our footprint in Dublin, Cork, London, New York, and internationally, today’s promotions strengthen our ability to meet growing client demand across our key practice areas and position the firm for its next chapter of growth,” he stated.
