Nine new ‘of counsel’ at McCann FitzGerald

McCann Fitzgerald LLP has appointed nine lawyers as ‘of counsel’, promoting eight senior associates and adding one new team member.

‘Of counsel’ positions are awarded to senior associates with exceptional technical expertise and a proven record of outstanding client service.

The lawyers promoted are:

  • Grace Armstrong (disputes),
  • Clementine Farrell (disputes),
  • Orla Courtney (real estate and construction),
  • Emma Hinds (real estate and construction),
  • Kate Clancy (finance),
  • Sarah Pickering (finance),
  • Caitríona Callanan (corporate), and
  • Catherine Walsh (corporate).

Growth ambitions

In addition, the firm added David Higgins to its investment-management group as an ‘of counsel’ last October.

McCann FitzGerald says that the appointments highlight its growth ambitions and dedication to nurturing talent to address complex legal challenges across all sectors.

Stephen Holst (managing partner) said that the ambition, expertise, and wider contribution of the new ‘of counsel’ would be an asset to the firm.
