A&L Goodbody (ALG) has announced an expansion of its financial-regulation advisory group that includes two new partners.
The firm said that Eoin O Connor and Eimear O’Brien had joined the group as partners, along with senior associate Bill Laffan and associate Hannah Vero.
ALG said that the appointments would bring additional capability and expertise to the practice, which already includes partners Patrick Brandt and Louise Hogan and a team of four other lawyers.
O Connor will now lead the expanded team that, alongside ALG’s regulatory-investigations group, combines advisory and contentious regulatory experience for regulated financial-services clients.
David Widger (managing partner) said that the firm had seen significant demand from clients for advisory services in financial regulation and investigations.
Marie O’Brien (head of finance department) said that the financial-regulatory advisory group had been at the forefront of the largest and most complex regulatory projects over recent years.
