Average weekly earnings in Ireland were €1,046.88 in the second quarter (Q2) of this year, up 3.9% from €1,007.58 in Q2 last year, CSO data shows.
Average hourly earnings rose by 3.8% to €31.96, from €30.79 in Q2 2025. Average weekly paid hours were 32.8 in Q2 2026 – up 0.3% from the Q2 2025 hours of 32.7.
Rate
The job-vacancy rate at the end of Q2 2026 was 1.3% – unchanged from Q2 2025, and 0.1 points higher than the rate recorded at the end of Q1 2026.
Average hourly other labour costs increased by 5.7% to €5.77 in Q2, from €5.46 in Q2 2025. Other labour costs include PRSI and other contributions made by employers.
