Mallow Courthouse to close for 12 months

The Courts Service has notified practitioners that the courthouse and office in Mallow, Co Cork, will temporarily close for major refurbishment, significant repairs, and modernisation from 5 May.

The organisation says that the Mallow premises will remain closed for around 12 months.

During the closure period, all District Court sittings and office administration will relocate to Fermoy Courthouse.

The first sitting of Mallow District Court at Fermoy Courthouse will be on 5 May. Fermoy Court sittings will remain in Fermoy.

Circuit Court cases

All Circuit Court cases for both Mallow and Fermoy will be heard in Cork City.

The Mallow District Court office, staff and presiding judge, will operate from the Fermoy venue.

The Courts Service says, however, that contact details remain unchanged. Practitioners  can email the Mallow court office at mallowdc@courts.ie.

“We apologise for any inconvenience while we provide a modern courthouse for the community and for the future,” the service says.
