Library launches latest service for solicitors

The Law Society Library is now offering access to ProView, Thomson Reuters’ e-book platform.

Thomson Reuters ProView is a web-based application that may be accessed through supported internet browsers.

Offline capability is available from browsers and is compatible with desktop, laptop, and mobile devices.

Recognising the unique needs of smaller practices, the library says that it hopes to improve practice-support resources for small to medium-sized practices and in-house solicitors, as well as all PPC and diploma-centre students.

Popular titles

More information on the library’s e-books collections can be found on the Law Society website.

The ProView e-book platform includes access to all 41 Irish titles currently available from Round Hall. Popular titles include Delany and McGrath on Civil Procedure and Walsh on Criminal Procedure.

Other titles cover property, planning, family law, contract, drink driving, and more.

Registration for the service is free of charge, but the library says that priority will be given to small-practice firms, sole practitioners, and in-house solicitors.

To sign up:

  • Contact the library to request your ProView account and one of the team will be in touch, and
  • Quote your solicitor or student number to register.
