Squire Patton Boggs hires property chief

International law firm Squire Patton Boggs has hired Jason O’Donnell to lead its real-estate practice in Ireland.

O’Donnell joins from A&L Goodbody, bringing more than a decade of experience advising on complex property transactions across Ireland and internationally.

He has extensive experience advising clients across sectors as diverse as technology, energy, retail, financial services, and hospitality.

‘Significant expansion’

Dennis Agnew (managing partner of Squire Patton Boggs in Ireland) said that the firm’s cross-border M&A (mergers and acquisitions) practice had gone from strength to strength in Ireland.

“Adding Jason’s real-estate experience and acumen is another significant expansion of our business,” he added.

O’Donnell said that he was joining Squire Patton Boggs at a time of “dynamic growth” for the firm in Ireland.

Since launching in Dublin in May 2023, Squire Patton Boggs’ Ireland team has doubled in size and moved into expanded premises in Ella House, Merrion Squire.
