Online lunchtime update on probate issues

Law Society Professional Training is to hold a lunchtime update on probate issues next week. 

The online Zoom webinar has been designed in collaboration with the Probate Bar Association. 

The event takes place on Tuesday 27 May (1pm to 2pm) and is worth one general CPD hour by e-learning.

Chair and speakers 

The webinar will discuss part 5 of the Assisted Decision Making Act 2015 with reference to section 27(4) of the Succession Act 1965, and provide an update on recent probate judgments.  

John Donnelly SC, the current chair of the Probate Bar Association, will chair the webinar. 

The speakers are: 

  • Niamh Murtagh Quinn BL, a barrister with a general practice and a particular specialisation in assisted decision-making, probate, and succession law, and
  • Rosemarie Carroll BL, who has a general civil practice with a particular specialisation in the areas of succession and probate law.
