Mary’s Meals to hold charity auction

The charity Mary’s Meals Ireland is holding a fund-raiser called ‘Auction for Hope’ in Maynooth on Saturday 3 May.

The charity provides children with one daily meal in a place of education in areas where hunger and poverty often stand in the way of education.

The auction takes place Aula Maxima, St Patrick’s College, Maynooth.

Those taking part in can make bids for iitems in three ways:

  • In person at the event,
  • Live online during the event, and
  • A pre-auction online bid, also available on the Mary’s Meals website.

Mary’s Meals feeds more than 2.6 million children in 16 countries around the world.

The charity says that the average cost to feed a child with Mary’s Meals for a whole school year is just €22.

Mary’s Meals has 26 support groups in 18 counties in Ireland with 180 volunteers.
