The Legal Aid Board has launched a revamped website to coincide with a two-day networking event this week that brought together staff from all 44 offices.
The body says that the refreshed website has been designed with “a renewed clear focus on client needs, accessibility, and plain English”.
The board describes the site as “a significant step” in modernising how its services are presented and delivered, adding that it makes it easier for clients to find the information and supports that they need.
The staff event, held at the Gibson Hotel in Dublin, included keynote contributions from Attorney General Rossa Fanning SC, Minister for Justice Jim O Callaghan, and Chief Justice Donal O’Donnell.
Staff participated in practical workshops, CPD sessions, and management panels to support professional networks and strengthen internal networks.
Legal Aid Board chief executive Joan Crawford said that the work that its staff did changed lives.
“This event is a moment to celebrate them, to build new bridges between services and people, and to look to the future – with renewed energy, a refreshed website, and a stronger sense of unity that ever before,” she added.
