Free webinars on EU rights developments

The European Lawyers Foundation (ELF) and the Council of Bars and Law Societies in Europe (CCBE) are hosting two free webinars for European lawyers in the coming weeks.

A webinar on 23 June will examine what lawyers need to know about using the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights.

The event will take place from 9am to 12 noon Irish time. It will be in English, with simultaneous translations in French and Spanish.

Procedural rights

Topics covered include the history and content of the charter, its application at national level, and the interplay between the charter and the European Convention on Human Rights.

A webinar on the EU’s Procedural Rights Directive will take place on Monday 7 July (8am to 10am Irish time), in English only.

It will include speakers from the European Commission and updates on the latest developments on rights under the directives.
