Dentons appoints Dublin litigation partner

International law firm Dentons has appointed Mark O'Shaughnessy as a partner in its litigation and dispute-resolution team in Dublin.

He joins Dentons from Byrne Wallace Shields LLP, where he was a partner in the litigation and investigations practice.

O’Shaughnessy advises domestic and international organisations across a range of sectors on complex litigation, with a particular focus on intellectual property, technology, data, and corporate disputes.

He also has extensive experience of providing business leaders with regulatory and crisis-management advice during data breaches, cyber-attacks, financial misappropriation, and corporate-governance incidents.

Dublin ‘key growth area’

Paul Jarvis (chief executive of Dentons UK, Ireland and Middle East) described Dublin as “a key growth area” for the firm.

“Mark's appointment will help us capture new areas of dispute resolution work as we continue to expand in Ireland," he added.

Eavan Saunders (managing partner for Dentons Ireland) said that O’Shaughnessy’s appointment would support the firm’s strategic growth plans as it continued to build a premium disputes practice in Dublin.
