CJEU Advocate General to speak at DCU

The Brexit Institute/Dublin European Law Institute (DELI) annual lecture will be delivered by Andrea Biondi (Advocate General at the Court of Justice of the European Union) on Monday 12 May.

The lecture is titled 'The Case Law of the European Court of Justice Related to the United Kingdom after Brexit', and will take place in person at 2.30pm in the Moot Court on DCU’s Glasnevin Campus.

After Britain’s withdrawal from the European Union, the relationship between its law and the jurisprudence of the European Court of Justice (ECJ) remains a topic of significant legal and political importance.

Case-law influence

While Brexit marked the formal end of the Britain’s membership in the EU, ECJ case law continues to influence key areas, from the interpretation of the Withdrawal Agreement and the Northern Ireland Protocol to the ongoing dynamics of British–EU cooperation.

This year's lecture explores the evolving role of ECJ decisions in the post-Brexit landscape, both legal complexities and future implications for Britain and its relationship with European law.
