Awards double for Law Society finance team
The Law Society’s finance team has won two prizes at the Irish Accountancy Awards.
At the awards ceremony in Dublin last night (1 May), the team was named ‘Finance Team of the Year’.
The division also won the ‘Finance Project of the Year’ award for its use of the NoFrixion payment system for the renewal of Practising Certificates (PCs).
PC renewal
The finance team launched EFT payments through NoFrixion for the renewal of 2025 PCs in December 2024.
It says that the use of the system has led to “significantly improved” processing times for PC applications, as well as same-day issuance of certificates.
The Law Society had also been nominated for ‘Best Use of Technology in Accounting and Finance’ for its integration of NoFrixion into the division’s work.
