Matheson, ALG are largest Irish law firms
The Law Society Gazette is today (7 March) publishing the annual figures for Ireland’s 20 largest legal workplaces by practising solicitor numbers for the year ending 31 December 2024.
Matheson LLP and A&L Goodbody LLP jointly led the way to claim the titles of the largest law firms in Ireland, with 371 practising solicitors each.
A&L Goodbody LLP has held the largest law firm title for the last two years.
The total number of practising certificates issued by the Law Society on 31 December 2024 was 12,175.
Of these, 54% of practising solicitors are female, with 37% female representation at partner level, while two-thirds of in-house solicitors are women.
