Lawyers Against Homelessness Easter CPD

Lawyers Against Homelessness will hold an Easter conference for which attendance will yield four CPD points.

The lawyers have raised almost €500,000 so far over 15 CPD events, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to the Capuchin Day Centre for Homeless People in Dublin 7.

The event will take place on Thursday 27 March, from 3.30-7.30pm, at the Capuchin Day Centre on Bow Street.

The organisers remind solicitors that the CPD in-person requirement is now up to five points each year.

Topics include:

  • Personal injury,
  • Jury trials,
  • Data protection and privacy.

Speakers

The speakers, among others to be confirmed, include

  • Mr Justice David Barniville, President of the High Court,
  • Mr Justice Alex Owens,
  • Eoin McCullough SC,
  • Shauna Joyce (Bird & Bird),
  • Medb McDonagh BL,
  • Ciara McPhillips (Michael Boylan Litigation), and
  • Alan Martin (Carson McDowell).

The CPD conference fee is €150 (or €75 for practitioners in years one to five): however many colleagues have donated much in excess of this figure.

Donations are invited at:
