William Fry LLP corporate and M&A partner Myra Garrett SC was named Irish M&A Lawyer of the Year at the IFLR Women in Business Law Awards 2025 in London (26 June).
The award recognises exceptional leadership and enduring influence on the Irish M&A landscape.
Myra Garrett’s practice spans public and private M&A, IPOs, capital markets, and corporate governance.
She has led on significant and complex transactions, including the sale of Beacon Hospital to Macquarie Asset Management –the largest healthcare transaction in Ireland in 2024 – and advising Harvey Performance Company LLC on its acquisition of ATA Group.
A former managing partner of William Fry, she currently serves as vice co-chair of the International Bar Association’s Rule of Law Forum.
She has championed initiatives promoting the rule of law, developing law-firm leadership programmes and assessing the impact of AI on legal practice.
In October 2024, Garret was named Senior Counsel.
