Two vacancies on Central Bank Commission

The Government is seeking to fill two vacancies on the Central Bank Commission, which is responsible for ensuring that the Central Bank discharges its statutory functions properly.

Minister for Finance Paschal Donohoe has invited expressions of interest from suitably qualified candidates.

Law, corporate governance, and financial regulation are among the ‘essential’ areas in which those applying must have experience at a senior level.

Financial-services legislation

Extensive knowledge of financial-services legislation and regulations law is also among the qualities listed as ‘desirable’ for applicants.

The selection process will be managed by the Public Appointments Service (PAS).

Terms of appointment are for an initial five-year period. The closing date for expressions of interest is 23 July (3pm).
