Bird & Bird names new head of employment
International law firm Bird & Bird has expanded its team in Ireland by appointing Susan Battye as head of the country’s employment practice.
Battye has more than two decades of experience advising international and domestic clients on key employment-law issues.
Her experience includes resolving complex issues, such as senior executive terminations, negotiating and drafting severance terms, service agreements, and post-termination restrictions.
Growth
Battye, who was previously head of the employment team at Walkers in Ireland, has represented clients in employment disputes before the Workplace Relations Commission, Labour Court, and the High Court.
Michael Finn (head of Bird & Bird Ireland) described Battye’s arrival as “an important part of our continued growth in Ireland”.
Bird & Bird opened its Dublin office in 2022.
