Business-law firm Mason Hayes & Curran (MHC) is to host a conference in Dublin next month that will explore how Ireland can boost competitiveness through stronger energy infrastructure and market resilience.
The event will take place on Thursday 11 September at the Royal Irish Academy of Music, Dublin 2.
MHC says that the conference will bring together policymakers, business leaders, and legal experts to examine where the State should focus resources in the energy sector to improve economic competitiveness and still achieve Ireland’s climate targets.
Darragh O’Brien (Minister for Climate, Energy and the Environment) will open the event with a keynote address on the State’s energy policy and economic growth.
MHC’s lead energy partner Eoin Cassidy said that Ireland’s economic future depended on a reliable and affordable energy sector.
“That means faster decisions on grid access, planning, and regulation that support renewable generation and facilitate demand growth. Certainty on these issues shapes international investment," he added.
Panel discussions will explore policy and commercial levers across two key themes: managing demand efficiently and increasing generation capacity.
The conference is free to attend, although spaces are limited and registration is required.
