The Pensions Authority has announced details of an upcoming conference on the supervision of pensions in the coming years.
The event, entitled ‘Supervision of pensions 2025-2029’, takes place on Wednesday 17 September at the Mansion House, Dublin 2 (8am to 12.30pm).
The regulator says that the conference will focus on the changing landscape of Irish pensions and consolidation, the authority’s implementation of forward-looking risk-based supervision, and increasing EU obligations.
The conference will also examine the importance of data in supporting the authority's work.
The event is targeted at pension-scheme trustees, registered administrators, pension advisors, and the wider pensions industry.
Dara Calleary (Minister for Social Protection and Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht) will deliver the keynote address.
There will also be speakers from the Central Bank and PensionsEurope, which represents national associations of pension funds.
