Eversheds Sutherland has appointed David Kirton as a partner in the firm’s intellectual property, technology, and data-protection team in Dublin.
Kirton advises Irish and international businesses on technology licensing and implementation, strategic contracts and sourcing, and the development, protection and exploitation of intellectual property.
He also advises on the procurement and deployment of frontier technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning.
Managing partner Alan Connell said that the firm was seeing an increased level of demand from clients on technology matters, particularly as large-scale data centre projects were becoming more prevalent.
