Lawyers Against Homelessness at Christmas
Lawyers Against Homelessness is to hold its 14th Christmas CPD event in Dublin later this month.
The event takes place on Thursday 28 November (3.30pm to 7.30pm) at the Capuchin Day Centre, 29 Bow Street, Dublin.
All proceeds from the event will go to the Capuchin Day Centre, adding to the €417,000 already raised so far by the initiative.
Topics and speakers
The organisers have assembled expert speakers on several topics for the event, which is worth four CPD points:
Expert witnesses:
- Ms Justice Caroline Costello (President of the Court of Appeal),
- Ms Justice Emily Egan (High Court), and
- Eavanna Fitzgerald (barrister).
Ethics:
- Michael Hourigan (chair of Bar of Ireland’s Professional Practices Committee), and
- Conor J Maguire SC (member of Bar of Ireland’s Professional Practices Committee).
Medical negligence:
- Cian O’Carroll (Cian O’Carroll Solicitors),
- Stephanie Kidney (Carson McDowell Solicitors), and
- Patrick Treacy SC.
Junior practitioners:
- Rachel Sheehy (William Fry), and
- Callie Nic Rallaigh (barrister).
Those interested in attending can pay at the door, by cash or cheque. The fee is €120 for those with more than five years’ post-qualified experience (PQE), and €60 for those with fewer than five years’ PQE.
