The Courts Service is inviting applications from practising solicitors and barristers for judicial positions across the courts system.
Those applying will be considered for any vacancies that may arise in the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, High Court, Circuit Court, and District Court during 2024.
The courts body says that these applications will only remain valid pending the establishment of the Judicial Appointments Commission.
Those who are eligible should submit applications by 4pm on Thursday 15 February.
Applications can be made in writing to the Secretary, Judicial Appointments Advisory Board (JAAB), Phoenix House, 15/24 Phoenix Street North, Smithfield, Dublin 7, or by emailing judicial.appts@courts.ie for a copy of the relevant application form.
Applicants may be asked to attend an interview.
The Standards in Public Office Act 2001, as amended, prohibits the JAAB from recommending a person for judicial office, unless the person has furnished a relevant tax clearance certificate that was issued to the person not more than 18 months before the date of a recommendation.
