Pinsent Masons advises Azets on merger

Pinsent Masons’ Dublin team has advised professional-services firm Azets Ireland on its merger with PKF O'Connor, Leddy & Holmes.

Azets Ireland provides a range of services – including audit, due diligence, valuation, M&A, tax, restructuring, corporate governance, and fund management.

PKF O'Connor, Leddy & Holmes, which employs more than 100 people at offices in Dublin and Waterford, provides audit, accountancy, tax, and advisory services.

The two firms will come together under the Azets brand on completion of the deal.

Growth strategy

The deal is the first for Azets since it entered the Irish market last year.

“PKF O’Connor Leddy & Holmes is a very well-respected practice in the Irish market and, as a result of this deal, Azets’ Irish business will double in size, expanding its reach to businesses, business owners and non-profit organisations throughout Ireland,” said Pinsent Masons’ corporate partner Gerry Beausang, who led the firm’s team.

Craig Pettit (deputy general counsel, Azets) described the deal as “another significant milestone” in the firm’s ambitious growth strategy for its Irish business.
