Law Society Professional Training is holding a seminar looking back on developments in regulation this year.
The event, entitled ‘Regulation recap: looking back, moving forward’, will also examine plans for solicitors’ regulation.
The seminar takes place at the Law Society in Dublin 7, on Tuesday 10 December (10am to 4pm).
It is worth a total of five CPD hours by group study – four for client care and professional standards and one for professional development and solicitor wellbeing.
This seminar will include reflections on the year in regulation, highlighting cases and statistics of note.
Expert speakers will cover anti-money-laundering (AML) requirements and accounting regulations, giving practical tips from recent experience.
Specialists from Bank of Ireland will give up-to-date guidance on cyber-crime and fraud awareness.
There will also be a look at complaints, succession planning, new developments, and the future of solicitors’ regulation.
The seminar will also showcase some new supports available from the Law Society’s Regulation Department.
Dr Niall Connors (Law Society Director of Regulation and Registrar of Solicitors) will chair the event and will also speak.
