The Courts Service has advised practitioners of the arrangements that will apply to the High Court during the courts’ long vacation.
The courts body says that a High Court Judge will be available every day throughout the period to hear urgent applications.
Applications will not be listed before the vacation judge without certification from the High Court duty registrar that the matter is urgent. Practitioners are being advised to contact the Four Courts at 01 888 6000 to make such arrangements.
All sittings before the vacation judge will take place from Monday to Friday in the Four Courts (Court 13) at 11am, unless otherwise advised by the registrar.
In addition, the following categories of business will be heard as follows:
The Legal Diary will be published on the Courts Service website on each day on which the Central Office is open during the long vacation.
Due to the Four Courts’ programme of building maintenance scheduled during the period, courtrooms will be assigned only for sittings during the months of August and September on a ‘just-in-time’ basis. Practitioners should check the legal diary for the assigned dates.
The Central Office is open for business by appointment made by using the online appointment system.
For urgent matters, where it is not possible to book online, email dublincivillaw@courts.ie to make an appointment or use the walk-up service.
