Representatives of the Law Society have held what was described as a “constructive and positive” meeting on insurance reform with Neale Richmond TD.
Deputy Richmond was recently appointed as Minister of State with responsibility for financial services, credit unions and insurance.
The Law Society was represented at the meeting yesterday (24 April) by President Barry MacCarthy, Director General Mark Garrett, Stuart Gilhooly SC, and Ann McGarry.
The Law Society says that it looks forward to working closely with the minister and the Department of Finance to progress insurance reform in the hope of securing lower premiums for the public.
