Applications open for PIAB mediator panel
The Personal Injuries Assessment Board (PIAB) is preparing to offer mediation as an option for resolving personal-injury claims.
The organisation describes this as “a significant new development’, which was provided for under recent legislation.
The Personal Injuries Resolution Board Act 2022 will allow the board to offer mediation as a way of resolving a claim, and also sets out the procedures to be followed under the process.
Deadline
PIAB is creating a nationwide panel of mediators for the provision of this new service.
The organisation is keen to hear from suitably qualified people interested in joining its mediator panel.
The deadline for applications is 12 noon on Friday 9 June 2023.
