Solicitor to lead legal at housing agency Respond

Solicitor Olivia McCann has joined Respond as director of legal services and compliance.

Respond is a housing and community service provider, which is currently delivering 1,453 high-quality, social and affordable homes.

Property lawyer McCann will manage the in-house legal team and legal-service provision by external partners, ensuring compliance with State and company law, internal company policies, and appropriate due diligence for the acquisition of homes. She will also act as company secretary.

McCann joins from McCann Morrissey Clarke, where she specialised in commercial-property law, including all aspects of residential property, landlord-and-tenant law, advising a variety of business sectors.

Qualified with McCann FitzGerald

She is the current president of the Waterford Law Society and qualified with McCann FitzGerald Solicitors in 1992, and in Britain in 1998, subsequently working with Clifford Chance and Canary Wharf Group.

Architect Parag Joglekar has also been appointed a senior director of investment and development on the executive management team.
