The Law Society Litigation Committee has asked all practitioners to be mindful of cancelling any appointment made with the Courts Service Central Office, if it is no longer needed.
The committee points out that here are hundreds of no-shows every week in the Central Office, describing this as “a very poor reflection” on the profession, and unfair on the members of the Courts Service.
Cancelling an unneeded appointment will free up that time for a colleague, and allow the Central Office to better manage its resources, the committee points out.
