Law Society teams take part in FBE event
Two teams from the Law Society took part in the European Bars Federation (FBE) International Contract Negotiation Competition in Lisbon.
The competition, which took place from 30 June to 2 July, involved teams from different bar associations in Europe, giving an opportunity for young lawyers to network and learn from each other.
The theme of this year’s competition was sports law, and involved two cases pending before the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
Team members
The teams had to work together and aim to reach a settlement agreement.
The Law Society’s teams were:
- Team Ireland 1: Laura Brohan (Dillon Eustace) and Bessy Xinye Zhu (A&L Goodbody), and
- Team Ireland 2: Jennifer Ryan (Matheson) and Andrea Whelton (Arthur Cox).
The teams were coached by Karolina Rozhnova.
A team from the Portuguese Bar Association won the competition.
