Gillian Butler now associate solicitor at Holmes

Holmes has promoted Gillian Butler to associate solicitor specialising in commercial property, construction, banking and finance, restructuring and insolvency, together with regulatory compliance.

Butler started her career as a legal secretary in 2011. She joined Keating Connolly Sellors as a trainee solicitor in 2013, qualifying in 2015, and spent eight years there before joining Holmes as a senior solicitor in 2021.

At Holmes, Butler acts for corporate and public-sector clients on the acquisition, disposal and leasing of commercial property.

She also counsels commercial and private clients on the financing of their acquisitions and financial restructuring. She also advises on all landlord and tenant matters.

Range of clients

Butler acts for a range of clients – including the owners and developers of shopping centres, public-sector bodies, nursing homes, pharmacies, receivers, asset managers and lending institutions.

Managing partner Harry Fehily said: “Gillian’s expertise in commercial property, banking, restructuring and insolvency is reflected in the high calibre of her clients at Holmes. We congratulate Gillian on her promotion to associate and wish her continued success in her new role.”
