Eltin Ryle for National Disability Authority board

Matheson solicitor Eltin Ryle is among nine new members who have been appointed to the board of the National Disability Authority.

The NDA’s functions include providing advice on disability policy and practice to the Government, commissioning research, and advising on standards and guidelines for services to people with disabilities.

Details of the board’s new membership were announced by Roderic O’Gorman (Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth) and Anne Rabbitte (Minister of State with responsibility for disability).

Four-year term

The appointments are for a four-year term, and nine positions were filled after a process carried out by the Public Appointments Service.

Ryle advises on matters of public administration, regulation and governance, with a particular interest in environmental law and child-protection matters.

He teaches at the Law Society, and is a former Editor-in-Chief of the Hibernian Law Journal.

Barrister and mediator Lorraine Lally has also joined the board of the NDA.
