Managing partner takes reins at P O’Connor & Son
Solicitor Samantha Geraghty is the new managing partner at Mayo firm P O’Connor & Son.
She succeeds Law Society past-president Pat O’Connor, who continues as a senior partner.
Samantha Geraghty joined the firm as an intern in June 2000, becoming a partner in 2008 and playing a pivotal role in the strong growth of the award-winning firm.
She guides and represents a diverse portfolio of clients in corporate, commercial, and banking-and-finance matters. She specialises in commercial property, corporate law, and business development.
Geraghty is a member of the governing council of the Faculty of Notaries Public and a chartered tax advisor.
She is a member of Clár na Cleachtóirí Gaeilge, and was recognised as Irish Language Practitioner of the Year at the Irish Law Awards 2022.
Fulfilling
Pat O’Connor said that his tenure as managing partner had been immensely fulfilling: “I am delighted to hand over to an outstanding lawyer with Samantha’s exceptional experience, achievements and ambition,” he said.
Samantha commented: “It is an honour to now lead the firm where I completed a traineeship some 20 years ago.”
