Legal services to the university sector

The Office of Government Procurement (OGP) is inviting tenders for the provision of legal services to the university sector.

It is seeking to establish a national framework for legal services covering universities – including the newly established national technological universities.

The OGP says that universities have a broad and diverse range of legal-service requirements, ranging from routine and defined type services that are transactional in nature, to standard operational type services, and to high-level strategic advice that may be of sectoral importance.

Six lots

Tenders are due by 8 December, and the competition is divided into the following lots:

  • Corporate, commercial, information and research legal services,
  • Estates management and capital development,
  • Employment and HR,
  • Procurement and competition,
  • University affairs, and
  • Multi-disciplinary legal services.

The estimated total value of the competition over 24 months is €11 million.
