Blackhall team second in global mooting contest

A Blackhall Place team of trainee solicitors representing the Law Society of Ireland has been placed second at the Stetson International Environmental Moot Court Competition in Gulfport, Florida.

The team consists of Ruby Barlow (DLA Piper), Emma Kennedy (Arthur Cox), and Sophie Quinlan (A&L Goodbody), and is coached by TP Kennedy, Director of Education at the Law Society Law School in Blackhall Place.

Fifth-best speaker

Emma Kennedy is now ranked fifth-best speaker internationally after the contest.

TP Kennedy described the entrants as a great team who stood up well to a gruelling schedule, which saw them win against Nepal and suffer a narrow loss to Singapore.
