Online training for those working in child protection

Trinity College Dublin (TCD) and MHC LLP are offering solicitors online specialised training in the area of child protection and domestic violence, which will run again this September.

The collaborative project between TCD’s Dr Stephanie Holt and MHC prosecutions partner Sonya Bruen has already had several successful runs.

Designed especially for legal practitioners, the material has been prepared with input from key stakeholders, including TUSLA and Safe Ireland.

Participants will learn how to understand the impact of domestic violence on children, and what action is required when there are child-protection concerns.

Weekly sessions

The course will begin on 19 September with four weekly sessions.

The closing date for applications is 5 September. The cost is €400 per participant with group rates available.

Participation also yields CPD points. For further information, email Jennifer.otoole@TCD.ie.
