Brush up media skills to be a subject-matter expert

The Law Society has announced details for Communications Day 2022, which is free of charge and open to all Law Society members.

This online zoom webinar, on Wednesday, 26 October (10am – 1.30pm) will focus on building effective media skills.

The specially-designed material will support Law Society members to develop a mix of practical communications skills to build a subject-matter expert profile.

With these skills, more solicitors will be empowered to engage with media to share legal expertise and contribute to the wider national discourse on the law and access to justice.

Speakers

Sonia McEntee, chair of the Public Relations Committee, will be the MC for Communications Day 2022.

Catherine Sanz, Business Post legal correspondent and host of ‘Law on Trial’ podcast, will also speak, as will Frank Greaney, Newstalk and Today FM courts correspondent and host of the 'Inside the Crime' podcast.

Mairéad Twohig, Cork's 96FM & C103 news reporter will also address the topic.
A maximum of three CPD hours (management and professional development skills by eLearning) will be available to participants.

Members should log attendance in their CPD record as normal.
