Philip Lee names new corporate partners

Commercial-law firm Philip Lee has announced the promotion of Anna Hickey and Rebecca McEvoy to partners in its corporate group.

The firm said that the appointments reflected the continued growth of the practice as a result of “buoyant” merger-and-acquisition (M&A) activity in the Irish and UK markets.

Hickey advises Irish and international clients on a range of transactions – including M&A, investments, commercial contracts, re-organisations and strategic matters.

‘Capabilities and expertise’

Part of the firm’s team on foreign direct investment, and its US business group, she regularly advises companies on doing business in Ireland. She is also a member of the firm’s immigration and not-for-profit practices.

McEvoy represents domestic and international clients on a range of commercial and corporate matters. Her practice focuses mainly on M&A, shareholder arrangements, commercial contracts, corporate restructurings, corporate governance, and commercial advisory matters.

She joined the firm in 2020 following the merger of McEvoy Corporate Law with Philip Lee.

Andreas McConnell (head of the corporate group at Philip Lee) said that the new partners’ capabilities, expertise, and client focus had contributed significantly to the success of its corporate practice in recent years.
