Philip Lee appoints new litigation partner

Law firm Philip Lee has appointed Gerald Byrne (pictured) as a partner in its dispute-resolution-and-litigation practice.

Before joining Philip Lee, he had worked in the London office of a global law firm.

The firm said that Byrne had extensive commercial and financial-services litigation experience, dealing with large-scale, complex, and multi-jurisdictional disputes.

Cross-sectoral experience

He has worked on a variety of litigation, regulatory and arbitration matters in Ireland, and internationally, and also has broad experience in construction and defamation disputes.

Damien Young (head of the dispute-resolution-and-litigation group) said that Byrne’s cross-sectoral experience in complex disputes would complement Philip Lee’s litigation offering.
