ISEL probes ECN directive implementation

The Irish Society for European Law will host a discussion this week on key developments in the Competition (Amendment) Act 2022 which implements the ECN+ directive which empowers member state competition authorities to be more effective enforcers for the proper functioning of the internal market.

Consequences

Discussion of these significant reforms will cover administrative sanctions, the Constitution, and practical considerations for practitioners.

The event will take place on Thursday (27 October) from 6.15pm – 8.30pm at the office of DAC Beachcroft Dublin, Three Haddington Buildings, Percy Place, Dublin 4.

This is an in-person event and speakers include:

  • Laura McGovern, former deputy director, legal services division, Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC),
  • Frank Kennedy BL, Bar of Ireland.

The chair will be Úna Butler (CCPC).
 
Places are limited and advance registration is required for what is expected to be a popular event. 

The event is open to all and is free of charge for ISEL members with a €30 charge for non-members.
