Section 7 of the Health (Regulation of Termination of Pregnancy) Act 2018 requires the Minister for Health to carry out a review of the operation of the act “not later than three years after the commencement of this section”.
In order to gauge reaction to the current legislation from both sides of the abortion divide – and to hear their perspectives regarding the three-year review that is currently taking place – the Gazette invited Eilís Mulroy (Chief Executive Officer of the Pro Life Campaign) and Orla O'Connor (Director of the National Women's Council) to submit their views.
