LASBA annual conference  scheduled for Cork venue

The Local Authority Solicitors’ Bar Association (LASBA) will hold its annual conference on Friday 1 July at Council Chambers, Floor 2, County Hall, Cork.

A dinner will be held in the Kingsley Hotel at 8pm on the previous evening (30 June).

Confirmed

The following guest speakers have been confirmed:

  • Donnchadh McCarthy BL, who will give a presentation on the Supreme Court injunction case of Clare County Council v McDonagh,
  • Lorna Madden BL, who will give a presentation on GDPR and damages,
  • Peter McKenna BL who will speak on procurement and modification to contracts, and
  • Vincent McKechnie BL who will give a presentation on casual trading bye-laws.

All members will be responsible for discharging their own accommodation costs, but there is a special set rate with the Kingsley Hotel of €195 for a double room, and €180 for a single room.
